Hey again folks, Jack here again.
After
reading the "Good News" page (page 1) you know that GOD
has worked in my life in the past!
Well you need to know that HE is not done yet.
In Feb. 1997 I had a motorcycle wreck. I was hit
from behind by another bike as I was turning a corner at about 35
mph. I was airborne for about 40ft, landing on my right side. I
broke 5 ribs and punctured my right lung collapsing it.The other
rider broke 4 ribs and ended up having his spleen removed.
They airlifted me (at a cost of $6,000.00) to Modesto
Doctors hospital. I was there for three weeks then sent home having
to be on oxygen 24 hrs. a day as my lung was not healing as they
wanted, the stay in the hospital cost $96,000.00.
The on-going doctor care was over $30,000.00 and
two weeks after I got home I had a heart failure (caused by the
lung...the doctor said). I ended up having angeoplasty (balloon)
and will need to have another later.
Through all this GOD has not let me die. The doctors
didn't think I would make it several times but GOD has something
HE wants me to do!!! And I am praying that I will find out what
it is, so I can do it.
Several things can be learned from all of this:
We all need GOD first!!!; Then insurance; Having family support
when you go through depression, pain that others do not see, loss
of income and the big one "the thought that it will not...could
not happen to me!!!"
Please be aware of what is going on around you.
I had ridden with the other riders for over 5 years, on trips of
6,000 miles, but only one slip and there you go. You think if only
I had done something different it would not have happened.
GOD, however, has his reasons and it is beyond
our understanding. Try to remember that we are given only so much
time to live. Let it be quality time as you do not know when it
will end. You might not have that tomorrow (to do it). And mostly
thank GOD for the time you do have.
If you feel that HE wants you to do something,
DO IT! You will never be sorry. I had Christian murals painted all
over my bike (the devil didn't like that) and after I had it fixed
and converted into a trike I had a couple more put on because I
want it to bring praise to the LORD always!!! Of course after I
was eventually forced to "retire" my first trike (my Kawasaki
Voyager), all that remains of the first murals is on trike parts
that I kept. Later I got another trike (a Harley Davidson front
end with a VW engine) and had more Christian murals painted on it.
All these photos and more are in our photo gallery.
